St. Mark Catholic Church Wedding – Jacob + Mariah
Jacob and Mariah’s Kansas wedding at the St. Mark Catholic church was a beautiful and joyful occasion, and I am so excited to share it with y’all!
I didn’t meet Jacob and Mariah until their wedding day, but they immediately felt like old friends to me! Mariah and I had face-timed, and she texted me frequently about wedding details. From adding me to her pinterest board with all of her wedding day inspo on it, to sending me pictures of the bridesmaids dresses they had picked out, as well as pictures of the freaking sweet Rolls Royce car we would get to use for photos! Mariah asked my opinions on things they could do for an exit and they decided they wanted to do big fireworks. The week before their wedding, Mariah mentioned that they hadn’t been able to get any big fireworks for their exit. I absolutely love being to help and serve my clients in any way that I can, and I had an idea! I have some friends who get big fireworks for us every year, so I decided to see if they had any leftover, and they did! They were selling the fireworks for the exact budget that Jacob and Mariah had set – how cool and meant to be is that?! Mariah was so so excited and gave me the go ahead to get them, so we got them loaded up and I hauled them from Oklahoma to Kansas, and they made for the absolute perfect wedding exit!
It is obvious how loved these two are by their family and friends, and I was so honored to get to spend the entire day with all of them. I am so thankful for people like Jacob and Mariah that I get to provide images of such a special day to, and that they entrusted me to do so!

Explain your love story:
Jacob and I met at Hutchinson Community College in our freshmen year. We started dating on Valentines day of 2013. Over the next 5 and a half years we have shared a lot together. We both moved to Wichita after graduating from Hutch, and we both started our careers here. We both are very active, and love being close to friends and family. We have gone on many vacations to places like Colorado, Louisiana, and Savannah… the place where Jacob popped the question! We are excited for more adventures to come.
What is your go to date as a couple?
Making a home cooked meal with a bottle of wine.
What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?
If people are offering help, let them! I loved all the help I got from family and friends it made the experience fun!
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
Seeing all your hard work you have done come together.
What’s the best relationship/marriage advice you have received?
Communication is Key!
